Description:
Aries
For the work “Ares”, the artist has reimagined the Ludovisi Ares, which is the depiction of the God of War, originally portrayed in a relaxed sitting position, holding his shield and weapon. But now, the protagonist is sitting on the slice of a weapon of mass destruction.
The artist has actually made a 3d scans of a man, digitally modified it, and 3d printed it using revolutionary sand printing technology.
The artwork reflects the current state of the world, highlighting topics of war and conflict, where new killing technology dominated the battlefield.
The Awakening
For the work "The Awakening," the artist has reimagined the moment of awakening of a young woman, absurdly nonchalant beside a rocket, a modern weapon of mass destruction. This pose is a study and recontextualization of Laurent-Honoré Marqueste's sculpture "Galatea."
The artist created a 3D scan of a woman, digitally modified it, and 3D printed it using revolutionary sand printing technology.
The artwork reflects the contrast between tranquility and the destructive power of modern technology, highlighting themes of innocence and conflict.
Pressure
For the work "Pressure," the artist explores the idea of a person confined in an impossibly small space, without openings, symbolizing imprisonment, or introspection.
This claustrophobic scenario is brought to life through a 3D scan of the artist, digitally modified and 3D printed using revolutionary sand printing technology.
The piece references Michelangelo's "Crouching Boy," originally created for the Medici family, highlighting the enduring struggle between freedom and confinement across centuries of art.
