Material: Dune (SH-C053)

Dune is a so-called artificial sand, made mainly of a ceramic material called Cerabead. It impresses especially with its incomparable haptics and look. This creates a predominantly positive association, which triggers a sense of well-being and at the same time has an attractive appeal.

True to our claim “Changing perceptions”, SANDHELDEN changes the general perception of sand as a loose material by shaping it into long-lasting and robust objects.

Every grain of Dune is completely round and homogeneous in shape. As a result, all objects have a certain smoothness in their appearance, and even sharp edges can look somewhat softened compared to our Onyx material.

Around 1,620 kg of sand can be processed for each printing run. Excess material is directly recycled in production and reused in subsequent 3D printing processes.
